And we’re on a mission to reveal that obsession to you. To thrill you. To inform you. And yes – to entertain you. To help you understand the high-stakes game of fly fishing for tarpon. To teach you hidden tricks of the Bonefishing trade. And to make you better than you were before you joined this salty brotherhood. Welcome to Silver Kings. We’re glad you’ve joined our crusade.
These magnificent fish bring us endless joy and health. It’s no longer enough to simply practice catch and release. If we want our saltwater fisheries to remain viable, each and every one of us has to become actively involved in their protection. Which is precisely why we’ve teamed up with Bonefish and Tarpon Trust – the official conservation partner of Silver Kings. This science-based organization provides research and data essential to fisheries management and protection. We strongly urge all of our followers to contribute their time and/or money to help ensure healthy saltwater fisheries for generations to come. Please visit www.btt.org today.Watch Videos
The flats call to us, always pulling us back Across their shallow waters with the lure of silver kings, grey ghosts and permit. As anglers, it’s important that we also hear their call to conserve what we love. Our flats fishery and habitats face unprecedented challenges—compromised water quality, fragmented and degraded habitats, plastics and pollution, unsustainable fishing practices. Join us in answering the call. Be great stewards of the environment, practice ethical angling, advocate for effective fishery management, and support conservation!

He’s led anglers to more tournament victories than any guide his age. Other guides will tell you he has a “sixth sense” for finding hungry fish. (Guiding over 300 days a year might have something to do with that.) At the age of seven, Jared’s parents gave him his first skiff whereupon he immediately began exploring the local waters. And now, twenty-some years later, Jared is host and co-owner of Silver Kings.
Jared first picked up a fly rod at the age of thirteen and spent his adolescence fine-tuning his craft. Upon turning nineteen, Jared became a licensed guide. And he’s never looked back. His career and reputation have been established by winning many highly competitive tournaments and through the positive accolades he has received from clients and friends alike. His proudest professional achievement was winning the 2015 Gold Cup Tarpon Tournament. Through his knowledge and dedication to the sport, Jared hopes to create the same thrill that he experiences daily for each and every angler that ever watches the show, or steps onto his boat.
As Co-owner and Executive Producer, Art comes to Silver Kings following a 37-year career in the advertising business. As an Art Director, Copywriter, Creative Director and finally, Agency Owner, Art won scores of advertising industry awards. But throughout that rich, rewarding career, Art felt the constant pull of beautiful, clear waters and big, brawling fish. In the 90’s, he even took a 5-year hiatus from advertising, to guide the Steelhead, Salmon and trout streams of Michigan’s lower peninsula. The Pere Marquette. The Pine. The Muskegon. The Big Manistee. All were Art’s watery office for these 5 wonderful years.
In 2017, Art once and for all bailed from the agency business and formed a partnership with long time guide and friend, Capt. Raskob. As the new owners of this well respected show, Art and Jared are busy transforming Silver Kings into an obsession-fueled brand that engages with passionate anglers online, in person and of course, on TV.
Marty Dashiell is a legend in outdoor television production. He’s shot, edited and produced some of the highest rated programs on ESPN, including The Bassmaster Elite Series, Spanish Fly with Jose Wejebe, and ESPN’s The Saltwater Series. Marty was the creative mind behind the series Tailwalker on Versus HD, which earned a primetime slot in its first season. Marty brings a creative eye to everything he touches and has been behind the lens and in the editing bay since the very beginning of Silver Kings. A great lover of a good laugh, odds are, if you find yourself laughing out loud during an episode of the show, it was captured through Marty’s masterfully directed lens.
James is a twelve-time Emmy award winning photographer / director who, along with Marty, forms the backbone of their production company, KCHD. James has shot for National Geographic Wild Expeditions, survived a near-death encounter with a giant python and captured never before seen underwater imagery that’s led to scientific discoveries. James filmed every episode of Spanish Fly with Jose Wejebe, has for years shot the Bassmaster Elite Series and, like Marty, was with Silver Kings at its very inception. James has a gift for seeing – and capturing – the unexpected. His innate creativity brings a level of art rarely found in the world of outdoor TV.
